BDCA Results – Brasenose 2 (19th–21st September 2025)
1st – Colin Douglas (Peg 10) 4 carp – 27.15lbs, 31.0lbs, 40.12lbs & 29.14lbs

After struggling earlier in the year with a bad leg injury, Colin bounced back in style. A fantastic return to form and a thoroughly deserved win.
2nd – Jamie Moulding (Peg 22) 3 carp – 23.8lbs, 21.10lbs & 29.0lbs

Jamie got off to a blistering start, landing three fish within 24 hours. For a long time it looked like he might take the top spot – great angling and a very well-earned second place.
3rd – Adam Evans (Peg 9) 2 carp – 26.12lbs & 29.08lbs

Adam lost three fish in the heavy mid-lake weed but was delighted to get among the carp after a quiet start to the year.

Overall
Only 19 carp were landed compared to 38 last year – a big drop. We later found out the bailiffs had cut back large amounts of weed in B2 just days before the match, which may have unsettled the carp and thrown our plans off. But that’s fishing!
Saturday night brought wild weather, with high winds tearing through the lake. Joe Berry’s bivvy even blew away, and Darren (along with a few others) had to spend the night in the van. Thankfully everyone was safe, though no one missed the howling wind!
By Sunday morning conditions looked much more promising, but sadly it came a little too late. As the saying goes ~ if only we’d had one more night, the results could have been very different.
