BDCA BRASENOSE 2 MATCH REPORT
25th–27th September 2026
What an incredible 48-hour match at Brasenose 2, Linear Fisheries!
Twenty-seven anglers took part, catching 31 carp with an amazing combined weight of 883 lb 4 oz. The lake produced some stunning fish, including several 30s and 40s!

3rd – Colin Douglas

BIGGEST FISH OF THE YEAR
Congratulations to Colin Douglas, who landed an outstanding 42 lb 10 oz mirror—the BDCA Biggest Fish of the Year!
Amazingly, Colin has now won this award twice in two years! He also caught two 40 lb carp—42 lb 10 oz and 40 lb 4 oz—within only 15 minutes! What a crazy spell of fishing! Well done again, Colin! 👏
Adam Evans also lost a very big carp during the match. We will never know how much it weighed, but it could have made the final result even closer!
THREE NEW PERSONAL BESTS!

James McConnell – 31 lb 4 oz
Three new personal bests during the same weekend—what an achievement! Of course, we celebrated properly by pouring water over all three anglers! 💦😂
Paul Challinor finished just outside the prizes in fourth place with three carp weighing 79 lb 1 oz.
A huge congratulations to our winners, our three new PB holders and everyone who caught during the weekend. Thank you to all 27 anglers for making it such an enjoyable match, full of fishing, friendship, laughter and unforgettable memories.
